Games People Play
on their wireless
Blackjack is a
classic game commonly played on PCs. This game
and others are now available on mobile phones.
The first ever phones to be pre-loaded with the
popular games people play -- especially business
travelers.
These new
wireless wizards offer everything from simple
card games to complex arcade favorites. There are
two ways to get games on your phone or PDA.
"Some are
pre-loaded with the phones and you get the
information from Motorola," says Paul Smith
of Motorola. "In other areas, Motorola is
working with the carrier to make sure that the
games that are provided to them are applicable to
the area and tailored to the devices that you
have."
Still in
development is a downloadable version of the
popular "Who Wants to Be a
Millionaire," that allows you to compete
against others playing the same game in real
time.
If you think
you're a champ when it comes to computer games,
you may not be the only one. As more devices can
access games on websites -- wireless group play
is bound to heat up the competition.
