Chicken Run
Behind the barbed
wire fence of Tweedy Farm, Ginger is a chicken
with a mission. Fearing for the lives of her
friends, she is determined to escape to freedom
before it is too late. To do this she enlists the
help of Rocky, the smooth talking, flying
Rooster...or is he?
Guide a rescue
attempt to get all of the chickens to safety
before they end up as pies. To do this you will
have to sneak around the farm collecting objects
necessary for the escape. Be careful not to
disturb the dogs and avoid being caught by Mr.
and Mrs. Tweedy at all costs in this humorous, 3D
action game.
Taking place in a
fully 3D environment, the action is viewed
through various fixed and moving camera angles.
(Similar in style to Dino Crisis and Metal Gear
Solid). Throughout the game, you will be given
the opportunity to play two of the characters
that star in the film, Ginger or Rocky. The
choice of character will depend on the task at
hand. Additionally, if an object needs to be
acquired from the farmhouse, the chickens will
have to pay Nick & Fletcher to enter the
farmhouse, giving the player an opportunity to
play as the crafty cockney rodents.
The characters
can interact with other objects in the levels.
For example, wire cutters to break out, and
feeders to hide under. They can also interact
with other chickens in the game. In game help is
given via small blueprints which update you on
your progress and tell you what to do next. At
least one part of every mission will be a stealth
operation where you will try to evade patrolling
enemies, spotlights and the Tweedys themselves.
Once all the
required objects have been collected, the escape
attempt can begin. The escape attempts will
usually involve more than one superfluous chicken
escaping depending on the skill of the player.
