This 3-D version of Off Road is very well done although and although a new element is involved, the goal of the game remains simple. Finish the race while gathering points in order to equip your hummer so that it remains top in the competition. The challenge is still mainly in racing ability and the races always seem more twisted.On the other hand, in my opinion, I believe that Test Drive 5 is superior in game quality but it is necessary to admit it is a different type of race. If you are the kind of gamer that prefers Sega Rally and Top Gear Rally, definitely you will find your competition.

The definition of your vehicle is very detailed as well as the environment around you. On the other hand, you could say that the game does not move very fast. This said, this is maybe an optical illusion ! For in the menu, many options are available to improve the game quality. The player will have to assess the challenge there but he could also become bored after a few rounds despite any changes to the gameplay.

In using the name of Test Drive, Accolade surely expected the advantage of attracting the attention of followers of the video game, but if this game fails, the sequels could fall also. Personally, I believe that Off Road 2 would have been sufficient as a title. If you liked Test Drive 4 or 5 or the original Test Drive Off Road, then you will definitely want to add this game to your collection. For those of you who know Microsoft Monster Madness 2, this title is about on the same level !
