Developed by Camelot and and published by Nintendo, you can now enjoy Tennis Mario on the Game Boy Color.

In the main menu you have 3 modes of play Exhibition to practice your skills. Linked play to play with a friend. Mario Mini-Game is  where you can play different characters like Donkey Kong and Baby Mario in games like target shot and Banana Bunch. More characters and games can be unlocked as you succeed levels and games.

Mario Tour is your main mode where you can start your career as a tennis player.

From this menu you have also a dictionary that you can access if you are not familiar with some specific terms like Deuce and Set or if you just want to acquire more knowledge about tennis.

The Status option allows you to see your character data meaning all the statistic about your character and your partner, play N64 Tournament and Select items you want to wear like your shoes or select your racket.

You can either choose Nina or Alex to play and you will play against other player plus Mario, Baby Mario, Peach, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Wario, Bowser, Yoshi and Waluigi.

When you start your career at the Royal Tennis Academy you are receive by Emily or Kevin and she will show you around the place and bring you to your room where you will meet your roommate Nina or Harry depending on the character you have chosen. From then on you can start playing matches in order to move up in ranking and increase your status. Both single and double are available for you to play.

Every time you earn experience points they are distributed between you and your partner so you can increase your skills; Spin, Power, Control and Agility. When you get to a certain number your level moves up.

Using the Nintendo 64 Transfer Pak, you can also transfer your players that you trained on the Game Boy Color to the Nintendo 64.

Camelot has really done a good job with this title the gameplay is extensive and fun.

The graphics are very nice plus you can properly hear different sound effect like the ball and the buzz of the characters talking to each other.

If you like tennis you will love Tennis Mario it is a great game to play plus you can even transfer your characters to the Nintendo 64.
