Race for the Roadster Trophy ! |
Roadster is a racing game that has been developed and published by Titus Games, the same company that made Evil Zone and Superman. Roadster has 4 game modes to choose from. Quick start will let you choose a driver, car, and a circuit and off you go racing. Time Trial lets you practice against yourself. It has the time broken down in 3 equal lengths of your partial time so you can measure how fast you are going from one part to another and it also has an indicator that turns from green to red depending on whether your time is getting faster or slower. In the Multiplayer mode you can play with up to 4 players. The Main Mode, however, is called The Trophy. You will race for the Annual Championship where you have to go through one of the 3 leagues that are determined by the class of car you have. You also have to pay to get in each race, so you will need to manage your money well. You need to choose your car from 3 Classes, A, B or C. Class A has cars that have an horsepower of 350 and more. B are between 250 and 350 and the C Class are lower than 250 horsepower. When you start your can only race cars from the C Class the other will be available to you as you progress in the game.With the money that you win from the races you can upgrade your car too before you enter the next race.

Nice Convertible Simply go to the garage option and there you can upgrade your engine, turbo, exhaust, gear, suspension and your tires. Dry, wet , Icy and snow tires are the 4 typez that you must choose carefully from depending on the weather you are racing in. Available also are 8 drivers with over 30 convertible cars that you can race on 10 tracks. When racing different cars it might confuse you a bit because this game is not a arcade or a racing simulation but mainly a mix of both. So sometimes the handling feels more like a sim and other time more like an arcade. The inconsistent of the handling will need some getting used too. The sound on the cars and the music is average. But the first thing that will capture your attention when you load the game is how nice and clear the graphics are. Also the cars, some licensed like fiat and Jaguar some created by Titus, are convertibles which is quite unique and different than what you usually race in. Quite improbable in real life too but they are nice to look at. If you do not mind the confusing feeling of the handling, Roadster is a racing game where you race with well designed convertibles cars. |
