Bringing Down the House

Touchstone Home Entertainment presents the $132 million dollar box office hit BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE, starring wild and crazy Steve Martin ("Bowfinger," "Father of the Bride"), Oscar nominee Queen Latifah (nominated Best Supporting Actress, 2002, "Chicago"), Eugene Levy ("American Pie," "A Mighty Wind"), Jean Smart ("Sweet Home Alabama", "Designing Women" ), Joan Plowright ("101 Dalmatians"), Betty White (TV’s "Golden Girls"), Micheal Rosenbaum ("Smallville") and Victor Webster (" Mutant X").

The movie will start with 2 people writing to each other over the internet describing who they are and exchanging knowledge about the Law. Queen Latifah plays the role of Charlene a black Lady who just came out of jail and Steve Martin plays the role of Peter Sanderson a lawyer who his describing himself to Charlene on the Internet not exactly the way he is and she does the same thing as well. Then together they make appointment to meet at his house for a date. Peter brags about this hot date he has to his lawyer friend Howie only to found out that night who he expected her to be was not at all what he though she was.

Now knowing she just got out of jail he wants nothing to do with her even though she tells him she was innocent and that she needs his help to clear her name.

That is where all the fun begins he throws her out of his house and goes up to his room and remove his pants only to hear at that point that Charlene is making a seen outside on his lawn. Now imagine Steve Martin trying to put his pant up while running down the stairs to get to Charlene before his neighbor Mrs. Kline hears Charlene. Because Charlene is a black Lady and Mrs. Kline not only she is a racist but she is also the sister of his boss.

After getting Charlene out of the lawn and agrees that she can stay for only one night then in morning the same process occurs he throws her out again of his home only to come home to his dismay that she now have a bunch of her friends at his home.

Then again thinking he is in the clear since he is at his Golf Club waiting to meet a very important client Mrs. Arness played by Joan Plawright, a few minutes before Charlene shows up at his Golf Club. That it is where he agreed to help her clear her name out has long as she pretends to be his Nanny. Well to make matters worst his sister in law Ashley played by Missi Pyle hears the Nanny part and calls his wife Kate played by Jean Smart to look in to it.

Like you can see Peter has more to deal with that he can handle the stories goes on like this until the end. Not only this movie will make you laugh but is good fight scene between Ashley and Charlene.

The DVD offers you Bonus Feature like Deleted and Behind the scenes featurette plus you can see the movie again with audio commentary from the the writer Jason Filardi and from Adam Shankman the director.

Bringing Down the House is an absolutely hilarious comedy where you rarely see so many top notch talents combine together in a comedy movie.
