The $75M global box office hit, The Rookie from Walt Disney Home Entertainment is about the true-life story of the baseball player Jim Morris played by Dennis Quaid.

Jim Morris, a minor league pitcher who sees his big-league career denied by a serious injury. Jim becomes a teacher and coach, motivating kids on and off the baseball diamond while imagining what might have been. When his own players challenge him to try out for a major league team, Jim finds out that you are never too old to follow your dreams.

This an interesting story where you will see how Jim's tenacity combine with the support of his wife Lorri played by Rachel Griffiths and the love he has for his children made his dream come true. His dream was to pitch in the Major League Baseball and he achieves his dream when he was 35 years old.

His first appearance on the mount in the Major League was in Texas with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, a new expansion team based in St. Petersburg, Florida who were playing against the Texas Rangers.

The Bonus features is composed of Audio Commentary with director John Lee Hancock & star Dennis Quaid where Director John Lee Hancock and star Randy Quaid share their thoughts on the film.
