Treasure Planet

Directed by "Aladdin" and "The Little Mermaid" directors John Musker and Ron Clements, Treasure Planet is a fun family adventure with uplifting messages of friendship, courage and self discovery where you will travel on a beautiful futuristic sailboat named Legacy mixed with an old fashion cachet.

Treasure Planet is based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous tale "Treasure Island," a classic story about a boy in search of his dreams who discovers the greatest treasure hunt of all time which was also made into Treasure Island the movie where it was produced in 1950 by Walt Disney himself.

The uniqueness of this movie is with the character of John Silver the Cyborg, an hand draw character mixed with a computer graphically drawn arm. They used Captain Hook as a model then added the CG arm then refined it into John Silver.

Plus they also used cutting-edge 3D animation in order to make this movie graphically stunning. No wonder that in 2002, Treasure Planet received a nomination for Best Animated Feature.
