Developed by Adrenium Games and published by Microsoft Games Studio, Azurik: Rise of Perathia is a 3D action adventure game and it is done exclusively for the Xbox. Azurik is your main character he is a junior Lore Guardians that has been the apprentice for the past 5 years of Eldwyn, the Master Lore Guardians of Perathia.
The start with a training session then youa re introduce to the story. Basicly, Eldwyn is mortally wounded at the hand of Balthazar, the Guardian of Death, he also breaks the Elemental Discs in peices that are scatered all over the land where your goal is get them back and prevent the destrotion of his world be defeating Bathazar.
Each Disc represent an element; Air, Water, Earth and Fire. Only after you collect all the peices and put it back togather Azurik will have enought power in order to vanquish Balthazar. But before you encounter Balthazar there are creatures in each realm to beware of like the Golem, Lavalar, Rock Shard Monster, Norchts, Fire Drake, Tacula and Blaze Sentinel. |
 To defeat his ennemies Azurik use a weapon call Axion. It is the Staff of the Elements it draws upon the power of the Elemental Realms for a variety of offensive and defensive capabilities.There are also 2 maneuvers of combat with the staff the Jab and the Sweep attack.
During your adventure you can pick up Health packs, Elemental Fuel Cells, Elemental Realms Gems, Obsidian Gems to replenish your health and the power of your staff plus Keys to unlock doors. The Gameplay does not give you incentive to combat ennemies therefore it looses your interest quite fast. The graphics are nice but nothing spectacular. Compare to other adventure games Azurik: Rise of Perathia fails to keep our interest for long.
