Developed by Bungie and Published by Microsoft, Halo is an action first shooter game so well done and fun to play that since it came out on November 15, 2001 it has reach 1 million unit sold as of April 08 2002. The story takes place in 2552 where Earth is now colonizing other planet in the solar system.
Reach is the key planet since it is an interstellar naval yard that builds colony ships for civilians and warships for the UNSC's - United Nation Space Command - armed forces. Plus it is close to Earth, Reach is also a hub for of scientific and military activity. 32 years ago, contact with outer colony Harvest was lost so a battleground was send to investigate and only one ship return to Reach with the knowledge that an Alien force almost killed them all. This Alien Force is now known as the Covenant, a collective of alien races united in their fanatical religious devotion and the Covenant warrior has declare an holy war upon humanity.
So the Campaign you will play is about to stop the Covenant. you will play the role of Captain Jacob Keyes where you will command the Pillar of Autumn, a Halcyon-class warship. Plus you will have the help of Cortana an highly advanced AI at the heart of Pillar of Autumn.
Among the Covenant force you will encounter are the Grunts, Jackals, the Elites and the Hunters. |
 During your game 2 types of weapons will be available the Humans and the Covenant one but you can only carry 2 beside the grenade so choose them carefully. The Humans are the M9 HE-DP Grenade, M6D Pistol, MASB Assault Rifle, M9O Shotgun, S2 Am Sniper Rifle, M19 SSM Rocket Launcher, M4I LAAG. Covenant Weapons are the Plasma rifle, Plasma pistol, Needler, Stationary Gun, Plasma Grenade. To get around the planet Halo will has vehicles that you can ride like the M12 LRV Warthog, the M808B Scorpion Main Battle Tank and Covenant vehicles like the Ghost and the Banshee.
As for the Multiplayer mode you can either play the Campaign in a cooperative mode with a your friend or play other game mode like the Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, Slayer , Oddball and Race mode. The first thing you will notice about the game when you play is the control. They are impressively fast like when you turn your head while you play it is the fastest shooter that does that so you can imagine the fast paste action that will come while you are immerse in a middle of the action. Combine with great graphics and a fun Gameplay that will entertained you plus up to 16 of your friends. Halo is the first game you should own in your collection when you buy your Xbox.
