The Simpson Road Rage

 

Developed by Radical Entertainment a Canadian company from Vancouver and published by Electronic Arts, The Simpsons Road Rage is an arcade-style driving game based on the popular TV show The Simpsons.

Montgomery Burns, the man who owns the nuclear power plant has now bought the Springfield Transit Corporation and has jacked up the fares.

Armed with their cars the citizens are fighting back by providing there own transportation and trying to buy back the Springfield Transit Corporation before time runs out.

There are 3 game mode the Road Rage where you pick up passengers in a race against time.

The Sunday Drive where you can drive around Springfield at your own paste without the time limits.

The Mission mode is where you need to do specific task in a certain amount of time. There is 10 missions in total.

The Head to Head mode where you can race against a friend.

Your starting characters to choose from are Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Grampa. More can be unlock has you progress in your game like Krusty the Klown, Apu, Barney, Groundskeeper Willie and Otto.

In total you will see over 30 characters and each one that talks has their own original voice-over talent from the Simpsons TV show.

Your starting location will be Evergreen Terrace but more can be unlock has you progress like The Entertainment District, Springfield Dam, Nuclear Power, Downtown and Springfield Mountains. Throughout these 6 levels will you be able to see over 100 Landmarks from Springfield.

The control is simple but when you are driving it could be improve sometimes you get stuck or you have problem to reach specific places.

The graphics are done with a technology called Toon Renderer that provides authentic Simpsons animated look combine with the H-line technology which maintains the 2D animated look of the show in the new 3D environment makes it a very nice game to look at.

The Simpsons Road Rage is an arcade driving games that's stands out since the graphics are very much like the show so if you are a fans of the Simpsons you will have fun driving around Springfield.
