New version of the old classic one.

A few years ago, the computer games companies where in front of the court to battle for the right of using the lucrative license of Civilization. Activision give us is interpretation of the legendary game under the name Civilization: Call to Power.

The objective of the game is still the same even with the revolutionary name "Call to Power". You go through all the history, building an empire with all the characteristics of a real one. Your technologies are growing up and let you declare war against the orders empires. Your good administration of your resources and your strategy will increase your power. The most important thing in this game is to put your money in different sectors. Try to survive through all the millenniums to be, one day, the in command of the biggest empire.

For the fans of the old Civilizations, you will see big changes and some more little ones. One of the biggest one that you will first strike you is the all new interface. If you were angry about the high number of screens you will enjoy this  one better. It leta you access all the major control to manage your empire without leaving your main game screen. You can always go in the detail info but you do not need them very often. After you will be used to this new interface, you will probably find it better and faster then the classic one.

Civilization: Call to Power

"The new interface."

Civilization: Call to Power

"What a battle!"

But it is difficult to know what the enemy is because you can not put your mouse on it and wait a few seconds to see what is the type of unit it is. The only way to know it, is to remember all the enemy units and yours. Its very difficult when you are in the middle of a game and you are trying to evaluate your chances against the enemy. The controls when you are traveling around the map are sometimes tricky. You want to take your men but you bring another one instead of that. There is also some bugs and the artificial intelligence is down in some parts of the map.

Another important change is visible a graphics is better done. They are very upgraded since the old one and put you in the game. Even if the gameplay still the same, explore, build and destroy the enemy, there is some new strategies and tactics. For example, the resources and the units management. This new Civilization bring better battles because the units are defending or attacking together.

Finally, it is the classic one with a new way of managing your empire or empires with a better graphic quality and some changes in your tactics and strategy. Hoping that you will respond to the Call to Power and build up a big empire trough the millenniums of the history.
