Want to fly a F/A 18 Super Hornet?

Digital Integration are known for developing good simulation games like Apache Longbow, Hind, F-16 Fighting Falcon and Tornado, now bring us their latest one F/A - 18E Super Hornet which is published by Titus.

Build by Boeing and Northrop Grumman, F/A means Fighter / Attack. In1982 the first F/A -18 was introduce, 1987 the models C and D was introduce then in 1995 the E and F models was created making the aircraft more advance then ever.

Now more then 1500 Hornet exist and are used by these countries Canada, Australia, Finland, Kuwait, Malaysia, Spain and Switzerland.

More weapons then ever

F/A 18 Super Hornet has 40 missions divided into 2 zones of war, Barents Sea and Indian Ocean. Their is 20 missions to practice your skills and get use to the aircraft. The support also the 1024x768 resolution.

The Multiplayer mode can be played with up to 24 pilots at the same time in a Deathmatch.

You have 5 types of sophisticated equipments like the radar and the night vision. 22 types of weapons are also available for you to use like the AGM-65F Laser-guided Maverick, JSOW: AGM -154A/B Joint Stand-Off Weapon and the SLAM:AGM-84E Stand-Off Land Missile Attack.

The cockpit is very well design and you can even fly without a keyboard if you have a joystick and a throttle giving you the full experience of flying.

During your flying you will see that you will be able to experience what a G Force is. When you do special fast moves you will see red appearing it even goes as far has going black like you are going to faith or lose control of the plane.

F/A 18 Super Hornet has a lot cool features but unfortunately lacks in some important elements. First the game has no story line you only doing missions to say that you

Shoot some missiles

Time to attack

are doing some they do not interact with each other in any way so it has no consequence or follow up. Also you can create your own missions. But the training area is where it lacks the most. You have only a black screen with white writing telling you what to do.

So neither less to say that if you never flew a plane before flying a F/A 18 is will not be a piece of cake. At least they have 2 books to help and instruct you but still you need to do a lot of reading if you are not familiar with planes. And you are familiar with other games that walk you through the process you will be disappointed. Because of that it makes you very hard and long to master the commands.

The Multiplayer mode allows you to play up to 24 players but only in a Deathmatch more modes would of been better specially one that lets you play in teams.

F/A 18 e

The graphics in general good be better they are not as good has of the planes. Not only the F/A 18 is well design but the cockpit reminds you of the cockpit in Fly! it is has clear and accurate but it is for a fighting plane. the Avionics also are very good so flying on under those condition makes you experience the real feeling of that aircraft.

One cool feature to take note of is the carrier experience. When you start on the carrier the first thing you will notice is a crew carrier signaling you with the true hand signs telling you to wait for your turns while you other crew people instructing other plane that are going to take off.

F/A 18E Super Hornet offers you a gameplay very limited and you will need all your patience to learn to fly it but when you do so you will be rewarded with a state of the art F/A 18 with great graphics and weapons that will surely please the fans that wants to experience this type of aircraft.
