play and learn with Mia the cute mouse!

Kutoka, the Montréal based company that brought us Cyber Grannies, is now back again with another great game for your child that combines learning with fun with the company of a cute mouse called Mia.

Mia is the story of a cute energetic upbeat little mouse that is looking for the ingredient to make a remedy that will heal her sick grand mother.

When you start the game Mia is outside on the attic roof talking to her bird friend, then her friend flies away and Mia comes back inside the window attic and starts talking to you and asks you if you will help her find the remedy for her sick Grandma and then the game begins.

In order to make Mia move, you simply move your cursor ( arrow ) in the direction where you want Mia to go and she will also follow your mouse. If you want to talk or pick up some object, you double click on it. Either the character will start talking or if it is an object Mia will take it and either put it in her backpack or activate it. If you are not sure what to do or where to go just double click on Mia's head and she will offer you some help on where or what to do. For instance, if you don't know where to go she might say, "My Grandma is on your left." Mia also has a skateboard that you can use if you want to travel from one end of the house to the other quickly.

In order to begin exploring the adventure with Mia you need to go visit her Grandma first where she will say hello to you and give Mia some "Sparklies" to pay for the ingredient that she needs for her remedy. Sparklies are diamonds in different colors which represent money to pay at the store.

"Sparkles are given to Mia"

"Mia the cute mouse!"

After Mia leaves her Grandma's place, she goes through a dark hole where Romaine the Rat will steal her Sparklies. That is where you must help Mia get new Sparklies by playing all the activities on your way. In reward you will recieve Sparklies each time you play. You will start at the attic, then go to the house, then the garden, and that will lead you to the pond. But don't worry, if you miss an activity, Mia will tell you.

You will explore the attic, the house, and outside to find all the ingredients for the remedy. While you do that you will encounter different obstacles to overcome, like helping one of Mia's friends or figuring out a way to make a jeep work. Also you will have some activities to play, like making words with letters or matching image with letter in order to continue the story line.

mia is a very original and fun game to play and learn with for your child. The game has 2 disks and a lot of hours of gameplay, because there is four levels of difficulty and you have in total nine different activities that your child can play and learn skills like vocabulary, rhymes, spelling, reading, phonics and sentence comprehension. All is done in a fun way in 3D graphics and Mia will often offer her own comment during the game that are actually quite funny.

Kutoka has worked with teachers to develop this game, and has paid attention to details and made sure that the game will be fun, educational and replayable for many hours by adding different ways of doing the activities for exploring many times without getting bored. Mia is definitely a title that you want to add to your child's game collection.
