Quake2

Quake 2 has it all, from Awesome 3d Graphics to a Super-High Fun Factor!!!

First id software dazzled the world with Wolfenstein 3d. Then they gave us more with Spear of Destiny. They blew us away with the Doom series, and awed us with Quake...and now...comes QUAKE 2!!! The Graphics are simply MARVELOUS, beating Quake 1's by at least 100 miles. Everything is smooth, shaded, and perfectly 3-dimensional. Cool weapons include the Rail Gun, BFG 10,000 (Remember the BFG 9,000 from the doom series? This is twice as cool!), the Machine Gun, the Hyper Blaster, and more!!!

In this game, the Strogg have landed on planet Earth are attacking everything that lives, storing it in their ships for use of food and parts for their biomechanical war machines. The Human race is planning an attack on the Strogg homeworld, and all of the soldiers get into their pods. Right after the drop, the Strogg EMP (electromagnetic pulse) defenses disable all of the shields on the pods...everyone dies, you're the only one left, and you want revenge. You happen to crash land in the side of a building, whip out your trusty blaster, and are ready to rock 'n' roll!!

Quake 2 takes a different approach on levels. Instead of just one level after another, Quake 2 has units. Each unit contain a certain number of levels. You can go back and forth from level to level within your current unit in order to complete objectives.

Quake 2 is just so totally different from Quake 1. The only thing that seems to be the same is the storyline, which is somewhat the same. Quake 2's graphics are just too good to describe, and Quake 2 multiplayer (Like capture the flag) is awesome. You can download TC's (Total Conversions) that people program to give you new weapons, skins, (the appearance of your guy online), and more! In the weapons department, Quake 2 has some awesome artillary. The enemies are fully 3d, and look and sound awesome.

In the end, Quake 2 is a must. If you loved Wolfenstein, Spear of Destiny, any one of the Doom series, or Quake, you Must get this game. You should also get it if you have a 3d Accellerator, but even if you don't, at least try it out...it rocks!
