Disney' s Search for the Secret Keys

 

Developed and published by Disney Interactive, Search for the Secret Keys is a fun learning adventure for children from 5 years old and more to play and learn at the same time.

Mickey, Mini, Donald, Goofy and Pluto are locked inside a spooky old house and soon find out that they are not alone. They are actually 3 friendly ghosts living in the house that are playing tricks on them.

In order to be able to leave the house, your child has to found 6 keys that will unlock the door for them to leave.

In order to earn the keys, your child will have to solve educational problems including math, reading, language arts, and logic skills to help put things back in order.

There is a fun and friendly ghost that will help you and your child plus give positive encouragement through out the game.

Since you walk around the house there is no particular order to start playing.

Each keys to find is combine with an animation with a Disney's character that will begin with a skill to be learn by your child.

Like Goofy can start looking at books then all the books will falls from the shelf because of the Friendly Ghost. Then The Friendly Ghost will ask your child to help him put the books back together by looking at the letter or letters on the spine of the book and place it in an alphabetical order. After all the books are rightly placed the Ghost will tell your child that since she or he made such a good job that he will give you something special then an animation comes and Goofy finds a Key in a book. In the haunted library, your child will learn Categorization and Sorting.

An other key will be earn when your child will help the Friendly Ghost fix a water link in the basement because of broken pipes. This one has a time limit because water is dripping of the pipe into a bucket. Your child will be given different shape of pipes that she or he will have to place in order to repair the pipes. In the basement your child will learn Analytical and Critical Thinking.

An other key can be earn by playing the correct musical note from the Song Book on an organ where all of the keys are a different color. With the old organ your child will be introduce to music and will learn sound and color association.

An other key can be earn by repairing the gears inside of the clock by placing the gears that rhymes, or words that has opposite or relational meaning. With the old grandfather clock your child will learn problem solving.

An other key can be earn by putting back together 3 armors knights with their respective numbers by doing some addition or subtraction to find the proper number. With the armors knights your child will learn numbers and counting.

An other key can be earn by labeling the picture on the wall with the correct letters and words. While helping Goofy naming the pictures your child will learn Object Recognition , Reading Comprehension, Letter Association and Word Building and Spelling.

Each activities has 3 levels of difficulties. After your child has finished the game you will have access to a Progress Chart where you will be able to see the percentage of correct answer plus also the amount of time spended on each level.

Each Disney characters speak with their own voice so your child will be able to relate to them right away. It is like playing an interactive Disney movie so not only your child will be entertain but will learn many skills plus the game has replay value since the keys can be found in no particular order.
