For a long time the the fans of real time strategy games have awaited this game from Cavedog. It has now arrived. From the same series as Total Annihilation, this game occurs in another new world.

Total Annihilation: Kingdoms occurs in the world of Darien in which monsters and magic exist side-by-side with humans. Unfortunately, there is a war between the four great families of this world. There are the Aramon, who are a traditional family of a medieval world which has knights and catapults. There are the Zhon, who are animals alive in the forest. The Veruna are the masters of the sea that have strong marine units and guns. Lastly, there are The Taros which use the undead and the demons to conquer the world of Darien, they are composed of magicians and necromancers.

There are three way of playing. The first is called Skirmish, which is a mode enabling you to play against adversaries controlled by your computer. You then have the campaigns which take you in the history of the civil war in the world of Darien. Finally there is the multiplayer mode.

Total Annihilation: Kingdoms does not bring a lot of new things. The game includes not enough magic and it is very simple, even too simple for the real fans of strategy. This removes a little of interest for the player.

The sounds and music of the game create a good environment and the controls of the game are relatively good. The graphics are the principal force of the game. Very imaginative, never seen before. On the other hand, they do not exceed the limits of the other games in real time but the details are very impressive. Moreover you can download new units for your game and then create new strategies. The prospect of many hours of pleasure.

Choose your camp among four divisions of the world of Darien and especially do not miss the new units available on the official site of Cavedog.
