Roulette is a game that is also very fun and exciting! The game goes back a long while and is always a staple in casinos all around the world. The game consists of a flat board of numbers and colors. The numbers range from 1-36 and also have the selection of 0 and 00 to make things interesting. Players can bet on individual numbers by placing wagered amounts on the numbers indicating that they are predicting or hoping that, that particular numbers shows up when the wheel is spun and the ball makes its rounds and finally lands and stops.

The numbers from 1-36 are all colored red or black. There are equal amounts of both red and black numbers on the board. The numbers 0 and 00 are both colored green. There are other options on the board to bet on. You can simply choose to bet on a number, which usually requires a minimum bet of covering 5 numbers of your choice. You can also elect to simply bet on color of either red or black – remember the chances of winning are slightly less than 50/50 because there are also the 2 green numbers and so if the ball lands on either 0 or 00 you will have no chance to win the red or black bet.

Players that want to increase their chances and gamble some more can also do other types of bets such as betting on quadrants or streaks or rows. Quadrants are split into 3’s, there is the first 12 being the numbers from 1-12, the 2nd 12 being the numbers from 13-24 and the last 12 being numbers 25-36. Alternatively, players can play on streaks these are the horizontal lines of numbers. Players can either play on 3 streaks or 6 streaks. For example, 3 streaks is numbers 1, 2 and 3 and a 6 streak would be 13, 14,15,16,17, and 18. The other option is to also play on rows vertically; this would allow players to bet on every number in that particular row. For example, the first row would be every third number such as 1, 4, 7, 10 and so on until 34.

Betting on individual numbers is called making an “inside bet” because you are playing on the inner area of the board and betting on any of the other options discussed above is called making an “outside bet”. The payouts are higher for betting on individual numbers and making inside bets as players get paid based on odds of winning and odds of winning are lower for one number than betting on black or red. So the bigger the risk the greater the reward!
