On September 14, 2004, Playboy Home Entertainment will release 50 Years of Playmates Collector’s Edition, a two-disc DVD set that examines the complete Playboy Enterprise, an organization begun from humble roots in 26-year old Hugh Hefner’s basement that has since grown into a globe-spanning multimedia empire.

Priced at $24.98 SRP (VHS $19.98 SRP), the documentary combines rare behind-the-scenes footage with candid interviews by celebrities such as Tony Curtis, Kelsey Grammer, Drew Carey, Sharon Osbourne, Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Corolla as well as a bevy of Playmates, past and present.

Just as you would expect from Playboy, this is more than just a documentary – it’s also the ultimate video compendium of the ultimate women! From Marilyn Monroe to Bettie Page, on up to the 50^th Anniversary Playmate, Colleen Shannon, this two-disc set features every Playmate who has appeared in the magazine’s pages - all 600 of them! And for the first time ever all 50 years of Playmate Centerfolds and Data Sheets have been compiled in one place.

Additional bonus features include behind-the-scenes Playmate photo shoots with three of Playboy’s top photographers – Arny Fretyag, Richard Fegley and Pompeo Posar.

Paired with the documentary feature disc is a bonus DVD disc that includes two full-length Playboy videos: Playmates of the Year: The 80s and Playmates of the Year: The 90s.
