Open Range is a western presented by Touchstone Home Entertainment.

The movie tells the story of four free grazers - men trying to escape their past, who drive cattle and live off the land where nature makes the only laws. They abide by a code of justice and honor, but their clash with a hostile town culminates Danto Baxter where it will end up in an outstanding and explosive gunfights ever put on film.

OPEN RANGE is directed by Academy Award® winner Kevin Costner (winner Best Director, Best Picture "Dances With Wolves" 1990) and boasts an all-star cast that includes Costner, Academy-Award® winner Robert Duvall (winner Best Actor "Tender Mercies" 1983; "Gone In 60 Seconds") and Academy Award® nominee Annette Bening (nominated Best Actress, "American Beauty" 1999).

The first thing that will capture your attention when you start viewing this film will be the amazing view of the land. It is filmed in Alberta, Canada where you get the true feeling of a western movie.

Like all good western it will end with a gunfight like never heard before. The sound of bullets and their ricochets sounds so real it is absolutly well done specialy if you have a surround sound.
