WWF No Mercy

Developed by Yuke's and published by JAKKS and THQ, WWF No Mercy allows you to enjoy wrestling as it best on the Nintendo 64.

When you start the game you are treated with a nice movie clip of all the favorites wrestlers that makes you anxious to start to play.

The main menu is divided in three main area; The Multi-play, Single Play and the Commissioner.

In the Multi-Play mode you can select The Exhibition; single, tag, triple threat, handicap and cage match.

Royal Rumble; Random or Team Battle.

Pay per View; single, tag, triple threat, handicap, cage, Royal Rumble, ladder, Iron man and the guest referee match.

King of the Ring; single, tag, cage, Royal Rumble, ladder for tag team or single match.

In the Single mode is divided in two the Survival and the Championship mode.

And as for the Commissioner it is where you can create your superstar and edit the moves, appearance, fighting style and parameter. You can also assign up to 3 enemies for your superstar as well as deciding which Stable you want to belong to.

From here you can also go shopping for equipment, weapons and moves with the money you have earn in the Championship mode.

When you enter the ring you will see the introduction movie of the wrestler but unfortunately it is all blurry.

the graphics are pretty good except while you are wrestling if you look into the crowd you will not see any camera flashes or yourself fighting on the big Trinitron.

While you are performing moves on your opponent specially the arms one you will see that the arms barely attached to the body.

When you are using a ladder and it is laying on the mat you will go through it like it was not there this will also occur sometimes with the ropes and some wrestlers where you punch right through them.

The interface is well done you can access everything quite easily. You have over 50 wrestlers to choose from plus the many game mode that are available specially the referee mode is quite fun to play where you choose the wrestlers and who is the referee that interferes with the match.

The paid attention to little detail like when a wrestler is in the ring they will do they real gesture like you will see Stephanie applaud the way she does or the Rock doing his hand and fingers gestures. That adds realism to the game and it fun to watch.

The control are pretty good too when are fighting your superstar will look at your opponent most of the time automatically.

Compare to Smackdown 2 the pace is much slower and the music is not as good but still No Mercy is best wrestling game on the Nintendo 64 as of now.
