Marvel vs Capcom 2

Developed and published by Capcom, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was first release on the Dreamcast in 2000 and now fans of this title can now play it on their PlayStation 2.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is Capcom number one Arcade hit where you can play a 3 on 3 tag team battle that combines 56 of all your favorite heroes of the Capcom family.

In the main menu you can select the Arcade, VS, Training and Score Attack mode. The Score Attack mode is where you can challenge your own score. The Arcade is the main mode where you select 3 fighters and the Assist type. In the options you can select 8 levels of difficulty, 4 levels of damage and set the speed to free, Turbo or Turbo 2.

After you have played for a while you will earn points. Secret Factor is where you will see the time that you have already played, your level of experience and the total of points you have earn in the process. Your earned points will allow you to buy more characters, more color for your heroes already unlocked or more advance stages. You will also see all the characters and stages that you have unlocked with their numbers.

Before a game you need to select 3 heroes then their assisted type then the speed.

The Assist type depends on which character you have selected and what combos they can perform all have 3 to choose from.

When you fight you will see a gauge for each characters in order to monitor your health. If it goes to low just switch character and it will slowly heal while it is on the side line. A combo gauge is also display in order to monitor when to activate it and how strong it will be.

One very annoying thing about this game is after you have selected your character they will display your 3 heroes and the 3 ones that you will fight against well a 1 second white screen will come up before the heroes are display and then a 3 seconds white screen is display before the game starts. This is very annoying and hard on the eyes specially if you play long hours because you need to reselect your heroes every time you lose.

Unfortunately this game can not be played on the Internet that would of been a lot of fun.

The comments after your game is totally random it will say you did a good job when you lost, to try again when you win and hurry up when you just have started your game, it is not accurate at all.

The graphics are quite good except in some combos like the Amigo one and the Boss at the end you will see some squares but nothing major till the boss. The rest of the graphics are quite nice with 3D background where you can see animation like rats walking,  bats flying around or yourself floating on n iceberg while fighting.

Also you will see some Characters for the first time together playing like BlackHeart and Jill in total 56 heroes that you can choose from plus 3 different assist for each one makes this game worth your money. You will see also new moves and animation for the combos. It is also very fast pasted game so it will capture your attention the entire time you play because the combos are impressive to see.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 will please any fans of the heroes of Capcom and Marvel plus is a most own fighting game for your collection.
