American Winemakers Put the Vineyard Online Online Wine Tours Allow Shoppers to Experience Wineries and Wines Before They Buy

WALLA WALLA, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE), the premiere destination for wine enthusiasts to buy wines direct from U.S. wineries, has launched wine tours on its web site in a series called “Straight From the Source.” The ongoing video series brings the experience of visiting American wineries directly to consumers. Videos can be viewed on the company’s video blog, and accessed via the site’s home page at is currently partnered with more than 475 wineries to sell wine direct, ranging from large-scale producers to individual winemakers. The “Straight From the Source” series aligns with the company’s mission to help wineries tell their unique story and assist wine sales. More than 30 wineries have participated in the series to-date by posting video shorts alongside the wines they are selling on the site.

How it Works

Flip Video™ camcorders are provided to partner wineries to capture their unique story on video in their own voice. Once compiled, edits the footage and posts the video to the site. Segments include conversations with winemakers, winery tours and wine recommendations. For example, Tom Farella, winemaker at Farella-Park Vineyards, explains the soil composition of his vineyards, his food-friendly winemaking philosophy, and provides a glimpse into the traditional Napa Valley family-oriented winery life.
