Caroline Wozniacki pulls out of the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour at the Warsaw Open

Agnieszka Radwanska pulled out of the Warsaw tournament yesterday and Caroline Wozniacki did the same earlier today. Both of the players sustained a back injury and consequently are unable to compete.

– I really wanted to play here in Warsaw. I know I have a lot of polish fans but I have had this back injury for two weeks – stated a disappointed Caroline during today’s press conference. – The physiotherapist told me that if I want to be able to accomplish anything at the French Open I have to take a break so that my condition does not get any worse.

Two lucky losers will now make it to the main draw along with the qualifiers thanks to the vacant spots left by the tournament’s two top seeds.
