Developed by Valve and published by Microsoft, Counter-Strike for the PC is the world’s most popular online action first person shooter game. With approximately 2.5-million Counter-Strike players worldwide and more than 100,000 of them playing at any given moment. Now not only you can play Counter Strike on your Xbox but you can play with your friends all around the world with the Xbox Live.

When you begin a Counter-Strike match, you first select whether to join the counter-terrorist or the terrorist team.

A Counter-Strike match is made up of timed rounds. Each rounds represents a single attempt by terrorist and counter-terrorist to fulfill their objectives. The team with most round victories at end wins the match.

Both teams start a round at different insertion points and get freeze time to safely buy weapons and equipment for the upcoming battle. Once freeze time is up, you can the start combat.

In the Single player mode they are 20 scenarios divided in 2 types; 5 Hostage Rescue and 15 Demolition.
