Maria Sharapova wins her match at the Rogers Cup in Toronto over Vera Zvonareva

The match started late because of the rain delay but when it started the only had to stop once and only for a few minutes in the first set then they were able to play both matches.

Maria Sharapova was facing an other russian Vera Zvonareva. Vera during the first was lookoing concerned about her ankle and was not that sharp and lost the first set.

Vera then got her ankle taped and it seamed to have help her a lot because she played much better in the second set but Maria was playing well and come out on top 6-2, 7-6 [3]

Maria will now face Agnieszka Radwanska in her next roundl
